2 Chronicles 20:17 (NKJV)
17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against (face) them, for the Lord is with you.”

We started last week with this passage of scripture…and I wanted to revisit it again this week a couple times.

You really have to read verse 15 to get it…God is speaking through a prophet and says, “The battle is not yours…it’s mine!”  Don’t you love it?!  “Stand still…the battle is God’s!”

Years ago I wrote a song from this section of scripture.  I haven’t sung it much, but last week I found myself singing for someone who needed a fresh “heart song.”  Here is a verse and a chorus of it:

You’ve boldly faced the enemy

You conquered fear by faith

Held tightly to the sword of truth

And sung the song of praise

There is yet another battle…you say, “Lord, how much can I face?”

That’s just when you hear the Father say…

Stand still the battle is mine

Stand still you’ve done enough this time

Stand still and see God’s glory and your Father works His will

When you’ve fought the fight and done all that you can….

Stand still!

Go and face this week…do not fear..the battle is His!

Don’t give…don’t let go!
