I have passed the 50 year mark on the planet.
I am a husband to a wife of 31 years…she is the most incredible person I know. I hope to be like her some day. Still can’t believe she married me. One of my greatest fears is that I would be the cause of unrealized potential in her…I hope I don’t waste the gift of her life.
I am father to two children…a son and a daughter…and to my favorite son-in-law. They are incredible people as well.
I am a son of parents from the “Greatest Generation.” Born in the south to a southern belle and a Connecticut Yankee who met during World War II. Dad died on the anniversary of “D” Day in 2002 – how appropriate. Mom is still going strong!
I am a brother to three sisters each of whom can run the world from a small desk. My brother left the world in 1994…I miss him.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ.
I want, “He was faithful,” written on my gravestone. And for those who gather to say that it was true.
I want to live redemptively…toward everyone and with everything in my life.
I started this bog to reflect on the exploration, journey, and pursuit of living a redemptive life as the force of God’s mercy “to” me somehow reaches “through” me . For me, Jesus Christ was and is the ultimate example of that life.
